Only half an hour drive from Zagreb you can visit City of Samobor, picturesque medieval town surrounded by astonishing nature of Samobor hills. Samobor is famous for its delicious cuisine and wines, cream cake called “kremsnita”, traditional crafts and handmade crystal shaping and one of the most beautiful cave in northwest Croatia proclaimed the protected monument of nature. On this trip you will see all of it and, upon your request, we can organize wide selection of traditional meals and wines from this region in one of the typical Samobor small restaurants.

On our way to Samobor our first will be a fabulous cave called “Grgos cave” where you will walk through the halls filled with stalactites and stalagmites and enjoy its amazing shapes that only nature can create.
This cave is considered to be the most beautiful cave in northwest Croatia and has been proclaimed the protected geomorphologic monument of nature. We will drive further to the center of Samobor and walk to the town main square where each building is a protected cultural monument of the first category. There you will relax for a while with a coffee and cream cake called “kremsnita” that is most famous local dish from this region – you simply must try it! Besides for its cuisine, Samobor people are particularly proud on their traditional crafts that has been passing from one generation to another for centuries.
We will visit Samobor crystal factory where you will be able to see a rare skill nowadays – handmade cut glass. You can use your free time for walk to the ruins of Samobor Old Town from 13th century that is situated on one of the hills just 15 minutes from the center.
You can walk the nice green promenade that goes along the stream and discover for yourself all the beauties of this medieval town. We can organize a lunch with wide selection of traditional meals from this region.
