Abandon yourself to the pleasure of cruising between magical Elaphite Islands on your way to Island Mljet.
The wild beauty of these untouched islands combined with their cultural heritage makes these islands unique among hundreds of other Croatian islands. Mljet is often called the Green Island for its breathtaking nature. This lushly forested island is so seductive that even legendary Greek hero Odysseus came and stayed here for 7 years.
Majority of this island is proclaimed as a national park with 2 large salted lakes and a 12th century Benedictine monastery on a small island in one of the lakes. This mystical, untouched island will leave you breathless as it has done to all its visitors for many, many years.
Embark in Dubrovnik and gaze into the deep green sea of Elaphite Islands Archipelago, hide in some small secluded valley and take a swim under the branches of pine trees that extend to the surface of the sea. Enjoy the deafening silence of Kalmota and its magical Blue Cave, the immense variety of Mediterranean herbs, vineyards, and vegetables in Sipans fields or spectacular bays and old castles in gothic – renaissance style in Lopud – all three islands that used to be summer residences for the aristocracy from the old Dubrovnik Republic.
We continue to the Limuni Bay situated in Southern part of Mljet where you can swim or relax in secluded sandy Blace Beach most idyllically framed by a dense pine forest.
We continue to the northern part of Mljet and we might stop, depending on weather and sea conditions, in famous cave where the ancient Odysseus found shelter after surviving a shipwreck — legend says that he was seduced by the nymph Calypso who kept him on the island for several years.
Re-board your boat and continue to fishing village Pomena where you will meet your licensed tour guide and driver who will transfer you to the lake entrance.
You can stroll along the lakes on paths shaded by pine trees, bicycle through the park, rent a kayak to paddle the lakes or simply swim the clear, blue water.
We recommend a private boat tour to the small Island with its old Benedictine monastery from 12 century where you can relax in a shadow of the restaurant inside the monastery.
For gastronomy pleasures Mljet is famous for its big size lobsters just taken from the sea and we will gladly suggest and reserve you the place either on the Island in the Lake, small Fisherman village Pomena or in some secluded picturesque bay.
On your way back you can do the sunset Panorama tour of Dubrovnik Old city walls from the sea.
When we approach Dubrovnik you can disembark close to the waterfront or use our complimentary shuttle service to get back to your hotel.
