Honeymoon Tour

6 Days - Croatia, Montenegro

Honeymoons are meant to be unique, spectacular, restful and romantic.  They are meant to be once in a lifetime experiences whose memories will endure forever. They should be about getting away from it all, and few places are as far from the rush of modern life as our Mediterranean – Balkan destinations.

Impeccable nature, rich cultural heritage, and seductive luxury resorts for you to marvel at in your first few days as a couple.

Dubrovnik

Spend your honeymoon in the most preserved old city in the world, surrounded by medieval walls, that shines as a pearl in the turquoise Adriatic. Create your love nest in one of the ancient aristocratic villas transformed into a luxury 5 star boutique hotel, like Villa Orsula with a magnificent view of the old town and the island of Lokrum; gaze and wonder at amazing sunsets as you relay at the pool or on the terrace of your suite.

Walk the old white marbled Dubrovnik, proud of its glorious history and independence, which will welcome you in its traditional aristocratic style.  Lose yourself in the narrow cobbled streets, Game of Thrones filming locations, romantic seaside restaurants and exclusive wine bars. Drink slow morning coffees in the main street called STRADUN where hurrying is absolutely forbidden.

Dubrovnik – Elaphite Islands

Board your private sailing or motor yacht to the nearby Elaphite Islands, a small archiphelago consisting of several magical forested islands stretching northwest of Dubrovnik. The skipper will be at your disposal during the trip and will guide you to the astonishing bays of islands Kolocep, Lopud, Sipan and Lokrum where palaces of the aristocratic nobles from the Dubrovnik Republic proudly welcome you.

Lunch will be served in one of the most hedonistic restaurants where friendly staff will prepare to satisfy your appetite with imaginative and unusual dishes, while you lie on sunbeds in your own private oasis or take a dip in the cleanest turquoise sea just beneath your feet.

Romantic sunsets from your yacht and astonishing views of the city walls will spoil you and simmer you for
your evening in the city or some light jazz in the villa.

Dubrovnik – Konavle, Cavtat

To feel the true harmony of man and nature you should visit Konavle.  Fringed by mountains in the north and the Adriatic Sea in the south, this old rural area full of contrast will seduce you with green hills and pristine lowlands, vineyards, sheep, lambs and donkeys, olive fields, Mediterranean vegetables, and hundreds of years old tradition kept through folklore and distinctive costumes. Enjoy a traditional lunch, a  first mutual cooking class, a jeep safari or horseback riding – depending on your preferences.

In the afternoon take a romantic walk along the rugged coastline of the picturesque town of Cavtat situated on the peninsula Rat and hidden in a deep pine forest, that will amaze you with its pebble beaches and rich cultural and historical heritage.  Do not miss the Račić Family Mausoleum built by the famous Croatian sculptor Ivan Meštrović. A bronze bell in the cupola bears the inscription “Know the mystery of love, and you will solve the mystery of death and believe that life is eternal.”

San Stefan – Budva

Just a few hours  drive from Dubrovnik, outstanding natural beauty and rich cultural heritage will continue to amaze you with their secrets. Nestle in a perfect hideaway of  luxury in the  Aman resort that encompasses all the islet of St. Stefan with medieval stone houses whose interior has been transformed into a 5 star luxury love paradise. Drive the streets where James Bond was filmed or gamble in the Casino Royale where Daniel Craig as Bond was falling in love with Eva Green as Vesper Lynd!

Walk through the narrow streets of the town Budva whose walls protect its unique 2500 year history –  among the oldest urban centers in the area.

San Stefan – Bay of Kotor

Wandering around the Bay of Kotor we will sail to the most unusual island along the Perast coast, created by bulwark of rocks and by sinking old and seized ships loaded with rocks. According to legend, the islet was made over centuries by local seamen who kept an ancient oath after finding the icon of Madonna and Child on a rock in the sea on July 22, 1452. Upon returning from each successful voyage, fishermen laid a rock in the Bay and created this magnificent artificial island that represents strength of belief and faith. Inside the Roman Catholic Church you will see a collection of paintings by the famous Montenegrin painter Tripo Kokolja, a silver votive tablet collection, and the amazing symbol of never – ending love i.e. a votive tapestry embroidered by Jacinta Kunić – Mijović from Perast. It took her 25 years to finish while waiting for her darling to come home from a long journey, and eventually, she became blind. She used gold and silver fibers but what makes this tapestry so famous is the fact that she also embroidered her own hair in it.

San Stefan – Cetinje, Lovcen, Njegusi

Drive slalom to the hills surrounding Bay of Kotor and you will find yourself in the oldest Royal town of the Montenegro country – Cetinje. Cetinje is a treasure of Montenegrin cultural and historical heritage, but also a spiritual seat with Christian relicts of St Peter held in the magnificent Cetinje monastery and a precious Filermosa painting thought to be painted by St. Luka itself.

Drive to the peak of National part Lovcen at an altitude of 1657m where the spectacular Njegos mausoleum holds the remains of the famous Montenegrin ruler and poet Petar II Petrovic Njegos. The mausoleum on  Lovcen is to Montenegrins as the Statue of Liberty is to Americans. Feel like youre on top of the world while looking at the Orjen mountain, the Boka kotorska bay, and all the way to the Italian coast. Try world reknowned Njegos cheese and prosciutto in Njegos’ birthplace where you can also visit his family house.
